The beginning

Welcome one and all to the beginning. “The beginning of what?”, you may ask. I’m not really sure yet to be honest. I love to be creative, but I can’t seem to stick to one thing. I love to try new things all the time. I went to school for fashion design and fine arts, and now I work in a law firm. Sometimes life doesn’t go as planned, but you just have to make the most of it I suppose. This will be a creative journey for me, and you will be along for the ride. As I rediscover my passion for art and creativity that I haven’t expressed since I graduated from art school. I’ve been keeping myself busy with jewelry making at the moment, so that’s where I will start. I hope you will enjoy my journey as much as I will.

P.s. this photo is unrelated to my intro blog post , but I’m going to keep it because it’s a pretty awesome photo.

Figuring out how to even start a blog…

How time flies. It’s been quite some time before I posted last. I have been so busy with my continuing education courses that my poor blog has been swept aside. Sorry little guy!

I’m back now, and trying to figure out what this blog is going to be really. I’ve been doing some research on what I need to do to prepare. I haven’t been doing as much as I hoped though. I should be starting a new career soon since I completed my education, and I’ve been stressing out.

I like to read when I am stressed. It helps when I transport myself into another world, where I can live a different life through the characters that I am reading about. My passion right now is A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin. I just finished the fourth book last night, A Feast for Crows, and it was wonderful. I can’t wait to start the next one in the series, A Dance with Dragons, but I am also sad to start. I go through books really quick. I love reading, and I have a hard time stopping when I get into it. There are still two more books that haven’t been published, and I really hate waiting for a new book in a series to be published, so I have to be patient.

My worn copies of A Song of Ice and Fire

So to give myself a longer time with the books, I have been looking to YouTube videos and podcasts talking about theories. One of my favorite YouTube channels are Talking Thrones and Alt Shift X. I really enjoy their theories and I especially enjoy how Alt Shift X does their imagery for their videos.

I have also found a podcast that goes into their own theories as well called Radio Westeros. It is like a radio talk show with exerpts from the text read by one of the hosts and songs performed by the fan base of A Song of Ice and Fire. They only delve into cannon, which to them is the novels and things that the author George R R Martin has said. I really reccomend them.

I hope I can find more resources to pass my time until the next novel and new season comes out.
